The Seine Method

The workplace and the classroom belong to one system.

Seine is designed around a simple principle: professional capability grows through structured responsibility, guided reflection and visible proof.

01

Learn

Intensive residencies, live online teaching, professional French, simulations and expert workshops.

02

Work

A structured role in a partner organisation, with increasing responsibility across four semesters.

03

Prove

Every semester ends with evidence: dashboards, projects, employer reviews, presentations and verified skills.

04

Launch

Convert experience into a permanent role, a business, a specialist career or the next academic step.

“The company is the campus. Work is part of the curriculum. Evidence is part of the qualification.”

The 75/25 model is a design target. Final calendars, training hours and contract rhythms will be aligned with the applicable certification and apprenticeship framework before enrolment.

A typical semester

Short intensive residencies. Continuous learning. Serious work.

Physical presence is concentrated into high-value periods rather than distributed as routine classroom attendance. Digital learning and coaching continue throughout the company period.

Weeks 1–3

Intensive residency

Core concepts, simulations, professional communication, employer preparation and project definition.

Weeks 4–21

Company immersion

A real operational role, protected learning time, live digital sessions, coaching and workplace evidence.

Weeks 22–24

Review and proof

Employer evaluation, applied assessment, public presentation, reflection and next-semester role planning.

Workplace governance

Work-based learning must never become cheap labour.

The employer relationship is structured, monitored and connected to the qualification. The following safeguards belong to the operating model.

01

Defined role

A written mission and learning plan explain responsibilities, supervision and expected progression.

02

Trained workplace tutor

The company names a suitable tutor and receives onboarding for feedback and assessment.

03

Protected learning time

Students must be released for required teaching, coaching, assessments and academic work.

04

Quarterly review

Student, employer and Seine review workload, learning, performance and wellbeing together.

05

Progression requirement

Students cannot remain in the same repetitive junior tasks throughout the programme.

06

Escalation and protection

Students can raise concerns confidentially, and Seine intervenes when the role is unsuitable.

07

Placement continuity

A documented support process addresses contract breakdown or material role changes.

08

Evidence integrity

Employer feedback supports academic judgement but does not replace independent assessment.

Seine Passport

Proof accumulates every semester.

Students retain control of a professional record containing verified missions, deliverables, demonstrated skills and contextual feedback.

3

4

Reflection

What judgement, skill and professional behaviour developed?

5

Progression

What greater responsibility should follow next?

Assessment architecture

No single exam can represent professional readiness.

Assessment is designed as a balanced body of evidence. Exact weightings will follow the certification framework.
